From the Theater to the Silver Screen
Culkin’s earliest roles were in the theater – which isn’t surprising given his father’s connections on Broadway. After getting his feet wet with several theater productions, he moved on to TV where he took a role in the 1980’s drama The Equalizer. He then went on to appear in a made-for-TV movie called The Midnight Hour. When he finally made it to the big screen, it was in the hit 1989 comedy Uncle Buck, starring Hollywood legend John Candy.
