#1: Marriott Rewards Premier Credit Card

It’s easy to Accrue points with this card. For every dollar you spend with the card, you gain one point. You get 50,000 points if you spend just $1,000 in the first 3 months of owning this card. These points can be traded in for 6 nights at any Marriott hotel within the category 1 range. As it is a Marriot Hotel card, you earn 5 points for every dollar you spend at any one of the 3,800 Marriot hotels across the world. So if you drink a $15 bottle of water from your mini-fridge in your hotel room, then you earn 75 points. What’s more, every time you pay with this card at a restaurant, purchase a ticket directly from an airline, or rent a vehicle from a car rental agency, then you gain 2 points. A major perk with this card is that you don’t have to pay an annual fee the first year. After that, it’s $85 per year.

#2: IHG Rewards Club Select Credit Card

You get 60,000 points if you spend just $1,000 within the first 3 months of owning this card. Also, every year on the anniversary of when you bought the card, you get a free night in an IHG hotel. There are over 4,700 of them. To gain more points with this card, use it at grocery stores, restaurants and gas stations where you will receive 2 points for each dollar you spend. By using it at IHG hotels, you will gain 5 points for every dollar you spend. Anywhere else you pay with this card, you will receive one point for every dollar you spend.

#3: Citi Hilton HHonors Reserve Card

This is a premier Hilton Card. If you make $40,000 in purchases in the first year of holding this card, then you will become an HHonors Diamond holder for the rest of the year and the next year. If you make $2,500 in purchases within the first 4 months of owning this card, then you can start earning points with subsequent purchases. Eligible purchases of stays at select Hiltons give you 10 points per dollar. You get 5 points for every dollar you spend on car rentals and airline purchases.

#4: Club Carlson Premier Rewards Visa Signature

The sign up bonus with this card is pretty sweet as you get 50,000 Gold points the very first time you purchase something with this card. If your subsequent purchases within the first 3 months add up to at least $2,500, then you get 35,000 more points. For each dollar you spend at a Radisson, Park Plaza, Radisson Blu, Park Inn by Radisson, Park Inn, or Country Inns & Suites by Carlson, you gain 10 points, which are also Gold category points.

#5: Chase Hyatt Credit Card

With this card, if you spend $1,000 in the first 3 months, then you get two Hyatt Gold Passport free nights. No transaction fees are charged with this card, and the annual fee of $75 is waived the first year. For each dollar you spend at Hyatt properties, you get 3 points per dollar spent. Restaurants, car rentals and airline ticket purchases from an airline gain you 2 points for every dollar you spend. Anything else you pay for with the card, you earn 1 point per dollar.

Every purchase made within the Wyndham network of hotels earns you 5 points per dollar. You gain two points per dollar for all other purchases made with the card. Every year you remain a cardholder, you receive 5,500 points that can be used for one night at a tier 1 Wyndham network hotel.

There are a few ways to earn free hotel nights with the Fairmont Visa Signature card. For spending $1,000 within the first 3 months of becoming a cardholder, you get 2 free nights with breakfast at a Fairmont hotel. Once you spend $12,000 in one year with your card, you gain a free night at a fairmont resort or hotel. You also get a free night for every $7,500 you spend at a Fairmont hotel. You also get free nights by accruing points. You gain 5 points for every dollar you spend at any of the Fairmont line of hotels, resorts, and the official Fairmont website. Two points are gained every time you use the card to pay for airline tickets, car rentals and local transportation. Any other purchase gains you 1 point per dollar.
